Looking for a 2ed Dnd Group
« on: April 19, 2010, 02:46:19 PM »
If you're looking for a player, I'm your gal!

I'm looking for a starting game in 2nd or a group that's open for one more. I realize that 2nd is rarely played anymore so I'm open for 3rd, but you have to keep in mind that I'm practically a noob when it comes to that.  :-[

I've been playing for about a year and a half, and I have been playing with my brother as DM and his wife, but I'm getting tired of driving 200 miles for a game that ends in them bickering. So I'm looking for a group with a more... enjoyable atmosphere

Thanks!

Third edition isn't too hard to learn, especially if you have people around who know what spells are good to take, you avoid using too many supplements, and you never go past level 11 or so.  I like second edition more because characters were easier to whip up and it played better without a battle mat.  I'm not totally sure where you find second edition books anymore.

They're all over the place at the Lane ave. half-price books. Or any half- price books. That's where I always get my books.

I've hit all three local HPBs locally in the past week or two as I've been looking for a couple of books. There is indeed a slew of 2nd Edition books at all locations including the updated reprinted versions of the books (black glossy). There's a fair amount of 2e Forgotten Realms stuff to be had, as well as some Ravenloft.

2nd ed eh? someone likes old school. Depending on the times and the type of game I might be interested.
