Well, I got through most of the important chapters. The only things I have left to read are about half each of the spells and environment chapters; the chapters on prestige classes, NPCs, and magic items; and the appendices (though I had to read through the conditions appendix to create the conditions panel on my DM screen). I also have the last few parts of the module to read along with the chapter on playing a tiefling in Westcrown, which I plan to read during lunch tomorrow. Oh, and the bestiary.

I’ve never sat down to read one through all the way. It might be a fun experience full of wacky monsters that look like furniture and eat adventurers.

Yeah, this was sort of a stream of conscious dump. I also recommend everyone read the Council of Thieves Player’s Guide. It contains a lot of nice information on the setting along with some very helpful advice on making characters that fit in with this adventure path. It’s amazing how much better Paizo is at writing these things than Wizards of the Coast.

We can save a hapless merchant from a band of thieves, and use that to get us in the city.

Rob, do you know of any good sources that go over the differences between 3.5e and Pathfinder? I imagine that you and your brother are already familiar with Pathfinder, but I don’t think Trever has read the new rules, and I don’t know whether Teh Badger has.

No.

It is very frustrating.

The rules are quite similiar to 3.5, but pretty much everything has changed, and just enough that if you don't check you will end up doing something that suddenly doesn't make sense.

Did I mention that it is frustrating?

At least all the rules are online.

Definitely frustrating.

I’m going to (try to) talk about the differences between Pathfinder and 3.5e tonight before we start to help bring Trever up to speed.

Out of curiosity, what characters does Trevor like to play? I've only gamed with him once, but I've seen him playing on other occasions, and I only recall him ever playing clerics.

He does tend to play clerics. I’m not sure if it’s a preference, or if he doesn’t mind playing one when the party needs one.

This is just a reminder that the first game is scheduled for 2/13. If you haven’t already, please post in my forum.

Would I be correct is assuming that a fifth player would not go amiss?

If so, I shall resume asking around.

I’d say that we have 3.5-ish at this point, so another player would be nice.

Find anyone? Unless I hear otherwise, we’re going to be running with three on Friday (based on Teh Badger’s post here, I think he may still be busy this week).

I just got off the phone with my brother. Apparently, even though we talked about it and arranged things three weeks ago, you just now as of yesterday realized that he had valentines day plans. I do not fecking understand how that is even possible for a person to "just realize" that he has plans on a day when he already has plans.

Given that "Teh Badgers" schedule is unknown as of yet, this probably means the session is canceled, doesn't it?
