yeah, sorry about the bad times this quarter - it's hard to play in fall except on weekdays, I've found.
Doesn't help that I'm working in the evenings, but it's the only way I can go to school full time and still take care of the family.

Want me to make up a char for you, so you can pop in? Any particular race/theme?
Sure! GM's choice. Whatever you need to help move things along.

BACKGROUND:

The party (including you) independently boarded the Dragon-5, a passenger liner going from earth to Quis - mostly vacation seekers. After two hours, there was a stop at Sirius station to recharge the energy cells on the ship, then a stop at a small farming world to pick up more passenger a few days after that. Five days later, the ship was attacked by pirates. Everyone was told to go to their quarters. Their quarters acted as escape pods, which were launched. 40 of the pods landed on a small colonized world. Those that didn't land (almost 1500) were destroyed by the pirates.

The survivors (mostly) stayed in their pods, since the pods could keep them alive for a year, and the planet is known for a large quantity of sizable venomous animals. The pods are all within two kilometers of each other.

Radio and computer systems between the pods allowed them to communicate. The general consensus was that most would stay in the pods as the planet was rather dangerous due to the fauna. The estimate by the pods was that a rescue would arrive in four days.

The game ended about a day after this point. Three people got off their pods to explore.

YOU:
The character I've created for you is a Bat Moreau. He is a level 1 Psionic Hero, Level 1 Dedicated hero, and a doctor. Does this sound ok for you?

Sounds good. I can't make it tonight as my wife isn't feeling well today and I need to get back home to her and the kids as soon as I finish work, but I've made sure that I've got the next few Thursday nights blocked off. I'll use the time to read up on D20 Future and the race/class. Need to also give you a call via phone so I can get the address and put a voice to the name.

That is, assuming I survive this pre-finals and finals week. It's already turning out to be...challenging.

It's not tonight anyway, but a week from tonight (or last night, still not sure)

I hope your wife starts feeling better.

Perfect. I've got it scheduled and the wife knows not to expect me home after work until later.

Thanks. She's pick up some nasty bug we're hoping she doesn't share with the rest of us. Although she's the type to ;)

OK, game's still going on tomorrow. Will you be able to bring a copy of your sheet?

Absolutely. I printed out a nice d20 Modern sheet from The Mad Irishman site and have transferred to that.

I'll call after my last exam at 2pm today to get the address. Testing at the testing center has whittled down, so I don't think I'll need to stay past 8pm tonight. We've been working late past 9pm every night this week to log and process taken tests, so I'll have to see how that goes. If things get crazy, I'll know by around 7pm and can email or step out and call.

Jim,

Can you shoot me the address by private message for tonight? That'll allow me to print it out at work before I head. Campus is dead right now, so I'll be done at 8pm and will be there directly.

That should work out fine for me.

Although I bet you could anticipate that.

I'd just as soon have the game start at the same time every week, but we'll discuss that tomorrow.

OK - Fred may want to run his game, so be prepared for it. For my game, everyone should be level 3.

Sorry, guys. I didn't realize we were starting this week, and I was over at the in-laws with the family and offline most of the day. I'll send you my phone number by email so you have it.

What's the plan for this coming Saturday?
