Schedule
« on: August 28, 2009, 12:01:00 AM »
Our first session will be on 9/12/2009. We’ll characters and get down to business. After that, I would like to set a schedule and stick with it. This schedule will either be every second and fourth Saturday in a month or every first, third, and fifth (if applicable) Saturday of the month depending on how often Mike wants to run his game.

Since I’ve not heard otherwise, I’m just going to go with a fixed schedule of every second and fourth Saturday of the month.

Our next five sessions are on 9/12/2009, 9/26/2009, 10/10/2009, 10/24/2009, and 11/14/2009.

Trever is not going to be available all day on 9/12, so we will just be creating characters and working on fleshing them out. This sucks, but I do not want to start the campaign with people already missing.

If adopting a second and fourth Saturday model is not going to work for people, please speak up now. I’ve been trying to adapt my games’ schedule to everyone’s scheduling needs, but I’m becoming increasingly frustrated that these concessions have only helped to turn the game into a once monthly affair (at best), and it’s certainly been longer than that since we had a full group together.

If people were willing to meet earlier and have their characters mostly ready to go in advance (e.g. just leaving a couple things for me to tweak things in the Character Builder if necessary), we could still do some actual gaming on 9/12. I'm thinking along the lines of being ready to start around 11:00–11:30 AM and running through ~3:30 PM.

I'll try to show up around 10:30 then.

As I've demonstrated, i'm not so good at doing this on my own yet.

That's fine. I thought about suggesting an earlier time, but I didn't want to push it up so far that people balked. :)

My stuff is done for the most part, but I don't know if I can get there before noon.  My brother is coming in from Pittsburgh Friday for an afternoon wedding on Saturday, and he is going to return to Pittsburgh that night.  I don't get to see him all that often anymore, so I plan to go out to breakfast or coffee or something.  I can email you preliminary character sheets and corrections (power choices from AP) if you want to get my stuff out of the way before I get there.  Just PM me your email address.

Alternatively, I could just do it this Saturday.

I talked with Thomas last night, and it doesn't appear that he will be very reliable this fall, so I'm going to assume we'll have four more often than not. The plan is still to make characters and get the party started on 9/12. (har har)

Second and fourth is okay with me, but the 26th is my birthday (I forgot to check what day it was).  Will there be cake?

We could probably swing that.  Do you have any special dietary restrictions?

Trever’s departure time was pushed up, so he will have to leave at 2:30 PM. However, I am not planning on canceling this Saturday’s session. The plan is to continue for a bit longer after he leaves.

Rob and Trever have indicated that they can arrive at 10:30 AM, so please do so. :) Josh, if you can arrive that early, that would be great (so we can do any character creation stuff that needs to be done). Mike, let me know when you’re on the way over, but don’t feel the need to rush through your breakfast/coffee thing with your brother.

Yes, this means that I will have to scale the encounters down, but I don’t consider that a big deal. I already have to review them for a four person party anyway.

I think I have my character created all the way; I just need to look at the PH2 for a bit to see what the whole idea of this Barbarian class is   ???.

I’m not sure I follow. Most of the info should be in the Character Builder, even the demo, right?

The fluff isn't there, and it's probably not clear how rage is supposed to work.
