Enrico is the eldest son of Ilona, a peasant woman living in Amn. Even at a young age, he did odd jobs to support both his mother and his siblings to help make ends meet. The desperate situations in which he saw many of his fellow halflings led him to feel contempt for the greedy merchant houses that ran the country.
Not too long ago, Enrico discovered that the rumors on the street were true and he was the bastard son of one of the powerful merchants, Albert Iceleg. After confronting Albert, and narrowly escaping capture by his guards, he vowed to leave Amn and come back when he had enough money and power to overthrow the corrupt system there.
Enrico figures that the best way to achieve fame and fortune is to become an adventurer. Along the way, he tries to help the poor and oppressed, and is not above stealing from the rich to do so. Enrico is cocky and sure of his own abilities and somewhat suspicious of arcane magic-users, due to the privileged role they enjoyed in Amn.
