Determined, Kundari makes sure Alroc has his equipment, grabs his arm, and activates the tapestry.

Spreading out before you and in all directions is an old-growth forest.  Anything could be hidden in the underbrush, and the visibility is severely limited due to the dim light.  Nearby is an enormous tree - you could easily drive an elemental-powered land-cart through the trunk without touching the sides.  At first, you hear an eerie silence but as the wildlife becomes used to your presence the normal background noise of a forest returns.

Kundari searches the nearby area for any tracks or signs denoting the direction of the Cannith workshop. (such as the d'cannith who ostensibly ported in here).
Taking 10 on survival = 24 , search = 19.

Kaji (the jaguar) circles the perimeter of the area, also looking for possible tracks or directional clues: (taking 10), search=12, spot=16, listen=17

There are faint tracks leading off to the east, more or less in the direction of the Starpeaks.  From the age of the tracks, you estimate that the last time anyone passed this way was at least 2 weeks ago.  The tracks resist your efforts to glean any more information; in fact, after a scant handful of steps in either direction, you lose the trail entirely.

Clarified description of the tracks - Kundari should be able to recognize the difference between Pass Without Trace and a trail that is weeks old.

There are some faint tracks leading to the east, but I'm not confident that they belong to anyone of importance to us. Kundari walks up to the enormous tree to inspect it more thoroughly. Knowledge(Nature) ; Search (1d20+13=25, 1d20+9=27)

Knowledge(Nature) ; Search (1d20+13=25, 1d20+9=27)

Knowledge(Nature): There's something very off about this tree - you've never seen tree roots pulsating before, nor have you heard of a tree that smells of rotting meat.  What could have caused this sort of blight, and why hasn't a druid fixed it yet?  A mystery...

Search: Being near the tree is both unsettling and nauseating, but you persevere in your search.  After several minutes you accidentally squash one of the disgusting roots, splashing oozy black ichor all over yourself and revealing a rectangular object buried in the muck.
