Character encoding
« on: December 31, 2006, 12:53:10 AM »
Oh, I’d thought that the only plan made was for the start of the quarter.

Edit (for Thomas): Why is the forum mangling my characters to CP-1252 but claiming that the encoding is ISO 8559-1?

The character set is ISO 8559-1 for English.  Can you give me an example of the mangling problem?

If I use something like this: ’, it ends up being encoded as 0x92, which is the CP-1252 encoding for RIGHT SINGLE QUOTATION MARK. I could use the entity, but that doesn’t work either.

Couldn’t you just set it up to use UTF-8? :) Then people could post in Klingon.
