The World of Warcraft Topic
« on: February 26, 2008, 02:21:25 AM »
My guild and I just cleared out Karazhan for the first time tonight. We were having trouble with Prince Malchezzar and his stupidly random infernal drops. We were actually in a bad situation when we actually killed him. We were using door positioning and an infernal dropped right on top of Prince so our melee dps had to do other things while our healers kept healing the tank who is taking constant infernal and Prince damage.
Afterwards, Netherspite was a piece of cake. Only complication was healer positioning to heal ranged beam interceptors. Aside from the two people dieing from that, easy down and clear. For kicks half the group did Heroic Slave Pens afterwards.
Now I'm sitting on 77 Badges of Justice and waiting for the new purchasable gear in 2.4. I'm disappointed that there is no caster staff, but I am intrigued with spell hit being on the gear instead of spell haste. I'll have to consider if it's worth the investment since my spell hit is nearly maxed currently.
We'll be poking our heads into Zul'Aman next week after a hopefully clean run of Karazhan.  :D

Anyone else have some WoW stories they would like to share?

My gnome twink > all.  Raging warrior at 39 < 1200 Frost Bolt.

We always used the Safe Spot strategy so that Infernals couldn't spawn on top of the tank. It's possible for melee to get trapped (and be unable to escape an enfeeble), but that's what they get for not rolling Hunter or Mage. ;)

So did Quag's Eye drop? 8)

Meh, sword > staff. :P

If you can kill the bear boss (AFAIK), everyone can complete a quest in there to get a free 20 slot bag. My undestanding is that ZA is a pretty difficultly tuned instance considering the loot that drops.

Not really. :o I've actually grown rather bored of WoW again.

I'm a big fan of Pandarian food. Especially the rice.

Congratulations! I'm working on gearing my second 70 and leveling up a third before the expansion.

I’ve got two 70s, but I play so infrequently any more that it took forever (~1yr) for me to get the gold to buy the training. :O

I replaced my WoW time with gym time, and I am much happier as a result.

If you're having trouble getting gold, the Shattered Sun Offensive dailies are your ticket to fortune. Doing only the ones native to the Isle of Quel'Danas you can make 150gold. Doing all of them should take less than an hour unless you get a really sucky drop rate.
Plus there are some nice rewards for getting Exalted with the Shattered Sun, an epic neckpiece, the best Alchemist's Stone, and possibly a good weapon.

That’s what I ended up doing. The reason it took so long was that I’d only been playing an hour or two at most every few weeks.

Last night the Ars Brute Squad decided to raid Stormwind and kill the ‘king’. :D

Afterwards we took over the auction house and then took the tram to Ironforge to kill the gnome king. Here’s a shot I took while we were in the AH.

Here are some more shots posted by one of our guildies.
