Hiya makes another laceration on Ina-sensei with his ninja-to, this time on her shoulder and he moves back from the fight 5 feet. He drops his ninja-to, feeling his shattered sheath he grumbles, and then does some fancy handwork.

Ninja-to (1d20+1=16, 1d8+1=8)
Sleight of Hand (1d20+8=24) [DC 24 to spot what he did.]

Ina-sensei, seemingly aggravated from Hiya causing her so many troubling wounds, moves 5 feet toward him and misses with both blows because of him still keeping cover behind the dummy. She also seems to be pushing herself at this point in the fight. [33 lethal taken so far]

Hit Points: 10⁄10
Chakra: 4⁄5

Akira steps forward five feet to close the gap between him and Ina-sensei and activates Gouken (reducing his Chakra to 3 from 4).

DC12 perform check to activate Gouken (1d20+8=13)

Akira strikes Ina-sensei with fists of iron…

Attack roll to hit Ina-sensei (1d20+5=14)

…and misses yet again. “Hold still Ina-sensei!” Akira whines.

Tsubaki prepares to attack with her quarterstaff once again.

This time she nails Ina-sensei, but once again by a narrow margin.

[Ina recieves 4 lethal damage]

After taking the quarterstaff blow, the rocks around her fists fall off, she puts the bandages back in her vest, an she takes a swig from a spirit bottle. "I have yielded for my own safety. And I must say, you are a perfectly balanced squad of genin. I haven't taken a beating like that in training since I was a runt like you three." She chugs the rest of the spirit bottle and discards it on the ground.
She motions for everybody to sit down on the grass nearby. "Now that we know everybody on the field, let's get to know everybody on a deeper level. My name is Ina Kita and I work as a rancher in my spare time. I enjoy hard work, sparring, and the occasional drink. Cows are almost people to me. Really stupid people.
Before we move on, could you perform some field surgery on me, Tsubaki? I'm not exactly healing at the speed of light. We can all still talk while you operate.
" She then takes out another "spirit bottle" and starts to sip on it.

Tsubaki works on Ina-sensei's injuries. "I'm Tsubaki Hayashi. I do flower arrangement in my spare time when I'm not training. I'm training to be a medical ninja like my family is. My clan is known for being great medical ninja, especially my mother. I didn't go to the academy like other genin did. I learned straight from my mother. I enjoy learning and helping people. I hope I did well today and continue to do so in the future," she finishes saying with a smile.

Deep? I once buried my army men in the back yard,” Akira muses with one figure pressed to his nose. “Oh, you probably want to know about my family. They’re always out of town on business, but I don’t know what they do. They must trust me a lot to let me run the house by myself!

(Of course, the house is a mess.)

Hiya dusts himself off and plays around with some needles that were in his cuffs while he talks. "My name is Hiya Chiso and I'm from Wind, as you may know. I help law enforcement when I'm not training. I take pleasure in dune-racing and precision activities."
Ina-sensei finishes off whatever she was drinking with a sigh and informs the genin. "For your exceptional training today, you will each be receiving a stipend and a wait time before your first mission. I reserved this space until our mission, so feel free to come here and train. First mission in a week. Until that time, I'll treat you all to a meal!" She gets up from her place on the ground and starts to run off. She screams back, "Keep up, slowpokes!" as all of you try to catch up to her in the setting sun.
You arrive at a restaurant in the middle of the village named Kita Stop. As you get a table, it seems to be a hybrid restaurant/tavern. A waiter wearing casual clothes and a white apron approaches the table and immediately recognizes Ina. "Who in the hell roughed you up, sis?" asks the young man with a bumpkin accent.
"These runts did, nii-san. I'm paying for the lot of them. I'll take my usual, and what all will the rest of you be having?" she asks interestingly.

[Drinking age in Earth country is 13. Enjoy.  ;D]

"I'll have fox on rice with orange sauce on the side and a club soda," Hiya says calmly. When his club soda arrives, he puts in 5 packets of sugar and a tablet from a pocket. Ina-sensei's order comes and it's a large plate of beef and rice with a mug of dark lager. All of you talk and get to know each other. The resaurant you are in is owned by the Ina's family and only a small minority of their goods is in here. Most of it is exported or sold to other restaurants. After a nice big meal, you return to your residences and get a good night's sleep.

[You now have 7 days of down time. Everyone gets a +6 to their wealth. Feel free to work, shop, or train in this time. Remember that you lose 10% of your chakra per hour during training and you only regain your CON modifier (min 1) each night, and double that for resting 24 hours. You regain all chakra from training each day. Feel free to PM me questions on stuff you want to do. Training at C3 provides a +3 equipment bonus to learn checks. Also LEVEL UP!]

Tsubaki's week:

Day 1:  Level up! Tsubaki orders a license to buy spirit bottles to save herself the embarrassment of asking Ina-sensei.

[Reduces wealth from +16 to +14 and will take 3 days until spirit bottles can purchased]

She spends the rest of the day training by herself reviewing Genwakudoro and learning Kai (Release).

http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1425128

[Made 1 day of progress; will take 4 days to completely learn]

Day 2: Continues training to learn Kai, this time with her mother.

http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1426438

[No progress made]

Day 3: Takes 9 hours to buy a gas mask and ration pills.

Day 4: Takes 14 hours to buy 4 spirit bottles. Continues her training with her mother for the rest of the day.

http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1426438

[Makes a half-day of progress; 2.5 days of successful training left to go]

Day 5: Trains for half a day.

http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1426517

Spends the rest of the day buying the Encyclopedia Shinobi and keeps it at her house.

[Reduces wealth from +14 to +12]

Day 6: More training.

http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1426522

[1 day left of training to learn Kai]

Day 7:  Trains for 1 last day.

http://invisiblecastle.com/find.py?id=1432779

Tsubaki does a stellar job and succeeds in learning Kai.

Mission day: +12 weath and 6/6 chakra.

[Note- I had no clue how to post this and it's too late for me to do what kenada did so I'll keep this as and do what kenada next level. And I forgot to mention, I'm multiclassing. I put my new level in smart so I'm Dedicated 1/Smart 1]

Level up! Akira gets tougher (hit points rise to 18 [HP roll for level 2 (1d8+2=8)]) and acquires weapon focus (unarmed strike). He also becomes more skilled in Taijutsu (+1 rank) and more knowledgable of ninja lore (+1 rank).

Akira spends most of his week of down time training. Akira doesn’t purchase any extra gear or equipment, so wealth modifier will be +11 [forgot to factor in your +2 from the fake mission] at the end of this week of training.

Akira spends most of the first day training at the reserved area, working on Henge no Jutsu. He spends the day working on Bunshin no Jutsu. He takes 10 on his learn check DC12, which results in a 16 (10 +2 for academy training, +3 for training environment, +1 for Ninjutsu skill). Since he spent 8 hours training, his chakra is reduced by 1 to 2. However, he regains 2 chakra during the night, putting him at 4⁄5 chakra at the start of the next day.

For the rest of the week, Akira decides to devise a new techinque: Samanosuke Style—First Stance (except in Japanese, of course), see Ishimaru Ryu - Shodan Taisei (Ishimaru Style - First Stance) for details. Because he is creating a new techinque, the training time is 1 × ⌈(14 − 10) ∕ 2⌉ × 3 = 6 days with a −8 modifier applied to his learn checks for this techinque. Akira plans on spending the rest of his week off working on this techinque, even if he is not able to finish his training in time. Because of his high CON modifier, he will be at 5⁄5 chakra at the end of the week regardless.

His total modifier to develop this techinque is +4 (+9 taijutsu, +3 training area, −8 creating new technique).

Day 2: Day 1: DC 14 learn check for Samanosuke Style—First Stance (1d20+4=7)
Day 3: Day 2: DC 14 learn check for Samanosuke Style—First Stance (1d20+4=7)+2=9
Day 4: Day 3: DC 14 learn check for Samanosuke Style—First Stance (1d20+4=17)+4=21 [Double success.]
Day 5: Day 4: DC 14 learn check for Samanosuke Style—First Stance (1d20+4=13)
Day 6: Day 5: DC 14 learn check for Samanosuke Style—First Stance (1d20+4=13)+2=15 [Success.]
Day 7: Day 6: DC 14 learn check for Samanosuke Style—First Stance (1d20+4=19) [Double success.]

Akira has completed 5 of the 6 days of training necessary to develop the technique. Akira gets a good night’s rest after his last day of training, ready to show up on time for the next mission.

GM Notes are in bold.

Level up! Hiya works further on his speed and accuracy [Lv2 in Fast] and becomes adept in using speed instead of strength in melee. [Weapon Finesse] He toughens up from the beating he took from Ina-sensei. [7hp increase] Hiya goes to the nin-armory on the first day to restock on all of his throwing weapons and he buys a ninja-to with a particularly keen edge. [+1dmg]
He then stubbornly finds his own plot of open land to train some.
Learning Tobi Kunai [Day 1, DC14] (1d20+2=11) FAIL
He realizes Ina-sensei gave them access to a training ground for a good reason and muses there the next day.
Learning Tobi Kunai [Day 2, DC14] (1d20+7=24) TRIPLE SUCCESS
Learning Tobi Kunai [Day 3, DC14] (1d20+5=11) FAIL
Learning Tobi Kunai [Day 4, DC14] (1d20+7=13) FAIL
Learning Tobi Kunai [Day 5, DC14] (1d20+9=29) QUADRUPLE SUCCESS
Hiya learns Tobi Kunai part-way through the day and then starts to practice Kawarimi no Jusu.
Learning Kawarimi no Jutsu [Day 5, DC14] (1d20+5=20) DOUBLE SUCCESS
He spends his last day touring the village and checking out various monuments including the plateau of shinobi names.

All of you report back to C3 and meet up with Ina-sensei. She hands whomever feels like taking it a parcel. "Details are on the inside. Good luck!" she says in a wide grin.
The parcel includes a smoke flare, a mission pamphlet, and a crudely written note. The pamphlet reads as follows.

Team: 14
Mission Rank: C
Mission Danger: Possible confrontation with non-shinobi individuals.
Mission Time: 24 hours.
Mission Force: Lethal upon overt threat to mission objective.
Team 14, one of our suppliers was recently robbed by highwaymen on the way to our village via cart. His shipment contained goods very valuable and scarce to Iwagakure and it is of paramount importance to retrieve these goods to continue smooth operation of our activities. We know that there are at least two highwaymen and they seem to possess no shinobi-related skill. Dispatching these individuals is optional. The robbery site is three hours on the south road from town.
Signed: Councilman Undeta

The crudely written note says: I'll be following you three to ensure your safety on the mission. I will only jump in if the situation is worst case, which you will signal to me via this flare. It'll go off once you hit it against something, nifty ain't it? ~Ina

Tsubaki takes the pamphlet and reads it over a few times. "Hmm, the robbers stole very important goods to Iwagakure yet they might not be shinobi. Maybe they are lower level members of some kind of crime syndicate? No matter who they are, they could be dangerous so we'd better be on our guard. Let's go. "
