The name of the village you live in is Iwagakure. When compared to other shinobi villages, it looks very archaic and some might say simplistic. The village is centered on a plateau, which actually houses the academy and offices of ninja. The faces of the plateau that are not part of open doors or windows are inscribed with the name of every ninja the village has had. Under no circumstances are any names removed, even that of missing-nin. Attempting to vandalize the wall is considered a serious offense and is punishable by banishment.
The environment is a sparse plain-land with seemingly random outcroppings of rock. Industries in the village include mining valuable salts and ores, raising livestock across the plains, commercial needs, and ninja industry. The only higher technology present in Iwagakure is a wind farm on top of the village's plateau that runs the entire village and gives a good amount of surplus energy which is stored in backup generators. Food primarily consists of rice and beef with small game being considered a delicacy.
The current Tsuchikage is Burudai Chouka. His come to power was a transfer of power from the long-lasting generations of kage to his lineage. No one quite knows what prompted this peaceful transfer, but it went through. He is a very calm yet serious man and is often chided by his council for his lax attitude. The ninja that have seen him go into combat say that a mountain falling on the foe would have been less of a loss.
Due to the technological lacking of Iwagakure, any piece of equipment that has a significant electronic component has their purchase DC increased by 2. Due to the various salts and powerful ores mined in the village, weapons or armor made mostly of metal have their purchase DC decreased by 1 and their hardness increased by 1.
Weather in the village is usually mild with summer temperatures around 26*C and winter temperatures dropping to -2*C. Windstorms are a common sight in the area with gusts reaching near 90km/h. Naturally occurring wildlife include bison, guinea pigs, goats, rams, gophers, bats, snakes, and cougars. Flora include rice patties, wildflowers, and various species of fungi. The natural defense of Iwagakure is a craggy mountain range that almost makes the plains and the plateau in the middle look like a crater. Several cave systems and underwater lakes can be found in these mountains, forming a catacomb that makes contact with the village by foot incredibly tiring and confusing.
Neighbors from south-to-east include Rain, Grass, and Waterfall. Earth has not had good history with Fire, and refuses all diplomatic interaction with them.
The following image is on all Earth Country headbands.

Wrapping on weapons is colored a dark brown to signify them being made in Earth.
The currency used in Earth is Buru. Buru coins are made out of electrum and come in 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 250, and 500 increments. Buru notes hold the image of different mountain ranges and come in increments of 1000, 5000, and 10,000. (One Buru is roughly equivalent to 10 cents.)
