Naruto d20; Believe It!!
« on: November 01, 2007, 07:33:26 PM »
I just downloaded the manual for this, and it looks awesome. It's an extension of d20 Modern, which I've GMed to moderate success (until the PCs killed each other while infiltrating an enemy base). Just wanted to see who all would be interested in this.
To make party dynamic easy, a "home village" will be chosen by the PCs and races will be restricted to Human and the Human variant native to that village. I'm wanting 3-6 players for the campaign.
First session will be a "Ninja Academy" tutorial that will make you Genin..... or not! [Dundunduuuuuun!]  :P This will just determine your age when you start as a Genin and if you want to change your stats around a bit, seeing as it's a system new to everybody.

There doesn't seem to be any Sexy Jutsu.  Isn't that a pretty big oversight?

I forget what jutsu it is, but Ninja Centerfold Technique can be emulated using a Rank E move. Rank E means things ninja academy students can accomplish. Plus you'd have to traumatize an 8 year old or be insanely perverted to somehow know that technique. DC 30 Knowlede (Ninjutsu / Popular Culture) at the least.
Then there's Harem no Jutsu, the combination of a Rank E and Rank B technique. Makes the ninja cry.  :D

If we're going to do play-by-post, I'm in.

Rolling 13d6:
3+4+6+5+6+5+1+5+3+2+1+2+1 = 44

Play by post it is. Please see other topics for character creation guidelines and links to the crunchycrunchcrunch. Plus I petitioned for the dice-roller software. 1337 ninja props to Thomas for stealingfinding them.

I expressed interest in this.  Do I need to watch 72 hours of Naruto to brush up?

Here's how I roll:
Rolling 6d10+2, exploding any results at or above 10:
8+(10+2)12+3+3+4+9 (+2) = 41
There were 3 successes when rolling each die against a target of 7.

No; just be familiar with the shinobi village that is voted #1 and know the crunch that relates to your character.
