The stuff Monte Cook's done before has been pretty decent, so I imagine the setting is pretty well done. $120 sounds like a lot of money, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that it's not bad when you consider the cost of various supplements and other crap people end up buying for other settings. As far as I can tell, it's pretty self-contained. There's even a player's guide (electronic version free @ DriveThruRPG) so only the DM actually needs a copy of the main book. Still, it'd probably not be a good idea to get it unless people were really interested in a long-term game. (And dammit, you've got me interested in it now. :P)

Well, it appears to be out of stock, and AFAIK there aren't any plans to do a second printing.

Edit: I guess there's the PDF version, but that would be such a pain in the ass to print/bind myself.

Yeah, I saw that. I've never been a fan of the individual shops, so I kinda ignored that one. ;)

This looks like it's in stock, and it's on sale too.

It seems the complaints about CCG Armory are somewhat accurate. I went to check out, and it said the item was out of stock.

Hmm, now it says they do have it. I'll order and see how it goes.

LOL.  By the way, please bring an extra character sheet or two for me.  I forgot mine (but I remember the important stats, anyway).

I have a stack of them, so it shouldn't be a problem.

On a related note, Guy may have some kind of 600 page canned campaign scanned to pdf.  He mentioned it at the fair today and I thought you might be interested (I know I would be if I had the means to print it out).  I think it's the campaign that his group is running currently with the illithid sorcerer that lies around and keeps the giant tentacle monster pets.

Hmm, it sounds kind of largish. If I were to actually consider it, I'd definitely want a smaller group. D&D just sort of stops working with larger ones.

I should also note that I'm strongly considering running OmegaWorld after we finish out this module.

I keep on thinking about running WoD d20, even though I know I don't have the time.

Well, you can tell people that you want to keep the group size at 5 or less.  Other people can start games too.  No RPG that I know of works with that many people.

Well, the problem is getting people to run. If the people who are inclined to run don't have the time to consistently do it, then we might start losing people again.
